What is Otoplasty?<\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Otoplasty is a cosmetic surgical procedure that corrects the protrusion or deformity of the ear pinnae. Its goal is to restore the ears to a harmonious anatomical position, closer to the head, or to correct congenital or acquired deformities. It is most commonly performed to correct \u201cprominent ears\u201d (due to underdevelopment of the antihelix or overdevelopment of the concha), a condition that can cause significant psychological distress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Otoplasty is suitable for both children (from 5\u20136 years old, when the ear has completed its development) and adults. Timely correction of the deformity helps prevent social discomfort and the psychological effects related to appearance.<\/p>\n\n\n
